Perfect Fit Week 14

Final Rendering

After fixing the placement for the assets, we started rendering shot2 in the computer lab.
Habini took charge of rendering shots 1 and 3, while Joseph rendered shot 4.
She also finalized the lighting with After Effects
and we were able to add the audios in.

Assembling Shots

I started placing all the assets together in shot 1
while both of my group members did shot 2 and 3.
We then assembled the last shot together,
adding all the textures and lights.

Perfect Fit Week 12 - Creating Textures Using Substance Painter

Perfect Fit Week 12

Creating Textures Using Substance Painter

Habini taught me how to use Substance Painter to apply on few of our assets.
It was a fun progress, I was able to make details for the wooden materials (ladder, Scaffolds, chair, planks) and rusty hanging lights.

Perfect Fit Week 9 and 10 - Unwrapping UVs

It was my first time trying out UV, and it was pretty challenging.
However, I learned a lot from the scratch (Thanks to my group mates!)
and I now have more confidence unfolding UVs.

Perfect Fit Week 4 - Shot Revisions and Animatic

Week 4 - Shot Revisions and Animatic

After discussing with the professor and my group members, we decided to change the center shot to a close up clock shot to create "absurd" feel to convey mystery in the beginning. I started setting up blocking for the shots.

Our group compared our shots together and finalized with the animatic.

Perfect Fit Week 3 - Deciding on the Shots

Perfect Fit Week 3 - Deciding on the Shots

In this week, we discussed on which shots to work on.
We decided that each of us should come up with a shot with the following establishing shot.
I focused on the middle part where the two main shoes are being crafted.
I came up with several sketches and discussed with my group for final sketch.

We finally established with a high angle shot.

Perfect Fit Week 2 - Concept Changes/ Team Organization

Week 2

We made and added several changes to our concept. Instead of making the story as "forced" we changed it into a "gift" so that we could portray a magical feel to our work. Major change that we made was a different light source. The lights are more dim from bright environment and multiple light sources. We also started building spreadsheets for our schedule and assets.

Perfect Fit Week 1 - Concept Sketches

Week 1.

In week one, our group was deciding on what story we wanted to do. We ended up wanting to do a concept piece about a miniature figures building something bigger than their size. After researching several references, we came up with an idea of a shoe store. We first decided to come up with several sketches so that we could finalize our concept art/designs.
